basic introduction

Mica titanium pearlescent pigment is the most commonly used pearlescent pigment in pearlescent printing. The core of its material structure is mica with low optical refractive index, and the outer layer is metal oxide with high optical refractive index. Its performance is good, non-toxic, and pearlescent. Good, heat resistance, weather resistance and chemical resistance are all good. Pearlescent pigments, color changing pigments, fluorescent pigments

Pigment structure

Generally, pigments selectively absorb visible light and then reflect or transmit the remaining colored light to form color, while mica-titanium pearlescent pigments develop color by interference. Mica titanium pearlescent pigment is based on mica flakes, and a thin layer composed of transparent or relatively transparent high refractive index titanium dioxide and iron oxide is wrapped on the smooth mica surface. When the optical fiber is irradiated on the mica sheet, the mica sheet is like a small transparent mirror, part of the light is reflected out, and part of the optical fiber is transmitted through in a refracted manner. The transmitted light is refracted to the next interface, and a second partial reflection and partial transmission occur again, and continue in turn.
