Special effects of pearlescent pigments (metallic effect)

　　 Pearlescent pigments are special pigments with pearl luster, which can also express the metallic luster of metallic pigments such as aluminum powder, copper powder, and alloy powder. Compared with metallic pigments, pearlescent pigments have the following advantages:

　　● It is non-conductive, it is an insulator, and it will not cause the danger of sparks due to electrification during high-pressure and high-temperature processing.

　　● Good acid and alkali resistance, no discoloration.

　　● Insoluble in water, but dispersible in water, suitable for processing water-based products.

Matters needing attention when using pearlescent pigments

1	Pearlescent pigments and transparent dyes or pigments can be used together to obtain unique and beautiful color effects, but if they are used together with opaque pigments, the pearl luster will be reduced.
2	High-shear mixing or long-term mixing, the pearlescent pigment particles will be destroyed, which is the reason for the reduction of pearl luster.
3	When the ink or paint has a low viscosity, the pearlescent pigment particles will precipitate, so please stir again when using it.
4	Due to the phenomenon of complementary colors, please do not mix the iridescent series of pearlescent pigments.
