1. During the mixing process of the pearlescent pigment and the ink binder, only a slight stirring can be used to prevent the surface of the pigment from breaking and causing loss of gloss. Do not use three-roller, high-speed mixer or ball mill or sand mill as much as possible. These things will damage or peel off the coated film, and reduce or destroy the pearl luster. When a three-roller machine must be used in the manufacture of high-viscosity offset inks, care should be taken to enlarge the opening of the rollers and complete the stirring within a period of time as much as possible.

2. All pigments and binders in the ink composition must be transparent, avoid the use of opaque additives, such as fillers. Pearlescent pigments, color changing pigments, fluorescent pigments

3. In order to improve the dispersion of pearlescent pigments in inks, it is recommended to use ink solvents (water or alcohol, etc.) to moisten the powdered pigments into a paste, then mix them into the ink and stir to obtain a uniform mixture.
